Sinus Surgery

Sinus surgery is a medical procedure aimed at treating chronic sinusitis, sinus polyps, structural abnormalities, or other conditions that cause persistent and severe sinus-related symptoms. Endoscopic sinus surgery, the most common approach, involves inserting a thin, flexible endoscope through the nostrils to access and remove obstructions or inflamed tissue from the sinuses. This minimally invasive technique offers quicker recovery, less pain, and reduced scarring compared to open surgery.

In cases where more extensive intervention is required, traditional sinus surgery may involve making external incisions to access the sinuses. Surgeons can address issues like deviated septum, remove larger growths or tumors, and improve the drainage of the sinus cavities.
